Mashpee parade performance CANCELED

Due to today’s inclement weather, which is expected to continue, Mr. Kingsland and the marching band staff have decided to cancel tonight’s performance in the Mashpee Christmas Parade.

Notification has been posted to Facebook, and an email has been sent to all marching band families.

Parent’s Night Out fundraiser – December 15, 2017

Our popular Parents Night Out has returned for another year!

Take advantage of a night of babysitting to do some holiday shopping, go out for dinner or a movie, or just get a few hours of peace and quiet!

Children will enjoy games, crafts, pizza dinner and drinks, and a fun, family-friendly movie while being supervised by adults and student volunteers.

Costs are $15/one child, $30/two children, or $45/three or more children from the same family.

Babysitting fees must be pre-paid no later than one week prior to the event. Reservations can be made by contacting Lisa Perry or Greg Jones.

US Bands Group V Open National Champions!!

Congratulations to our marching band and color guard for scoring 98.350 at MetLife Stadium this weekend, making them back-to-back Group V Open National Champions!

The band swept all caption awards, which include:

  • Music Performance
  • Visual Performance
  • Overall Effect
  • Color Guard
  • Percussion

This is an amazing achievement, and credit to every single student in the program for the hard work and dedication they’ve shown since the first day of band camp back in the summer.

After achieving the highest score out of the entire competition, the kids enjoyed a day in New York, which included stops at the Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial, and Times Square before returning home, accompanied by an escort from the Dartmouth Police and Fire Departments.

The band staff has noted time and again how amazing this group of performers has been all season. All of their efforts have paid off with their back-to-back national wins.

Itinerary week of Oct 30 – US Bands Trumbull CT and NESBA Finals Lawrence MA

This week’s itinerary has been emailed to all marching band and color guard families, and copies have been sent home with students. You can also find a copy of the itinerary by clicking this link.

According to Mr. Kingsland, we most likely will be staying for awards on Saturday night but, if for what ever reason we don’t so the kids can get some extra rest for Sunday’s NESBA Finals, parents may want to have back up plan to ensure your student has a ride when we arrive back home. If Mr. Kingsland decides to leave prior to awards, we will have the students notify their parents, and we will also update our Facebook page with status on arrival ETA.
